   2019 Bowling Season.

Kibworth Bowling Club’s outdoor season has come to an end. Thanks to the skill and effort of our green-keeper, Richard Smith both home and visiting players have enjoyed the excellent playing surface. We have seen an encouraging influx of new members who have developed their skills with the help of our coaching team. Our league teams performed well this season, with the "A" team crowned champions of the Market Harborough Division 1; our "C" team narrowly losing in the Springer Cup Final and our South Leicestershire Triples League team just missing out on  promotion to Division 2.

Club President, Doug Lawrence celebrated his year in office by presenting a cheque for £1,400 to the Air Ambulance Service, funded by the efforts of a number of club members, led by Doug, on a 12 mile Charity Walk.

With the start of autumn we look forward to the carpet bowling season, which starts on Monday 30th September at 6:00 pm.

   Cubs enjoy fun-bowls at Kibworth

In September two packs of Cubs visited Kibworth Bowls Club for an evening of fun/target bowls.

The Mountain Wolves and the Arctic Wolves arrived very excited to see how they could perform at "fun-bowls" on the green.

Each rink was set up with a different challenge to test their ability to find the correct line and length, bowling to a designated area and to aiming for a target; scores were recorded accordingly.

Each 6 competed as a team and after ten minutes moved on to the next rink for a completely different task. At the end of the challenges the scores were totalled and the winning 6 given a certificate.

It was very loud and very exciting; the boys were wonderful and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We hope they will come back next year and bring other members of the scouting family with them.
